Kansas Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements*
- Total hours: 50 hours due 12/31 every year
- Mandatory subject areas:
- 20 hours in category I; lecture, panel discussion, workshop, seminar, symposium or any other structured, interactive, and formal learning method.
- Remaining hours in category II; clinical consultations, participation in activities of patient care, instructing healing arts and other health care practitioners, participating in journal clubs, using searchable electronic databases in connection with patient care activities self-instructional materials
- NEW REQUIREMENT: 1 hour in category III ( an internet or live CE activity that meets at least one of the following content requirements)
- Acute or chronic pain management
- the appropriate prescribing of opioids
- the use of prescription drug monitoring programs
