Florida Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements*

  • Total hours: 40 hours due even years due on 3/31
  • Mandatory subject areas:
    • 2-Hours of Medical Errors
    • 2-Hours of Laws and Rules
    • 1-Hour of Risk Management – (Note: Chiropractic Risk Management Recordkeeping and Compliance counts as 1 hour of Risk Management and 2 hours of Record keeping/documentation and coding)
    • 6 Hours of Record Keeping/Documentation and Coding
    • (Note: Chiropractic Coding & Compliance for a Health Practice does NOT currently fall under this category for Florida – Chiropractic Risk Management Recordkeeping and Compliance counts as 2 hours of record keeping/Documentation and Coding and 1 hour of Risk Management for Florida)
    • 2-Hours of Ethics and Boundaries
    • 3-Hours of HIV/AIDS (first biennium renewal only; no DC Hours courses meet this requirement).
