Long COVID (also called post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection, or PASC) refers to a range of symptoms that continue for weeks or months after the acute phase of COVID-19 infection has been resolved. While most people recover from COVID-19 within a few weeks, some continue to experience symptoms long after the virus is no longer detectable in the body.
Common Symptoms of Long COVID:
1. Fatigue – Extreme tiredness that doesn’t improve with rest.
2. Shortness of breath – Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, even with minimal activity.
3. Cognitive issues – Sometimes referred to as “brain fog,” including memory issues, difficulty concentrating, or confusion.
4. Chest pain – Persistent discomfort or pain in the chest.
5. Joint and muscle pain – Ongoing pain or stiffness in muscles and joints.
6. Sleep disturbances – Insomnia or interrupted sleep patterns.
7. Heart issues – Palpitations, arrhythmias, or increased heart rate.
8. Digestive issues – Diarrhea, stomach pain, or loss of appetite.
9. Anxiety and depression – Psychological effects, possibly exacerbated by ongoing health issues.
10. Headaches and dizziness – Persistent headaches, lightheadedness, or balance issues.
11. Loss of smell or taste – In some cases, the loss of these senses continues for an extended period.
Course Content
To complete this course please click on the course video. Watch the video as the timer clocks your time on the course. Each 1 hour course has a 50 minute timer and each 2 hour course has a 100 minute timer. Once the video ends and the timer goes down to zero, you will be permitted to take the short quiz. You will have multiple attempts to choose the correct answer for each question. Upon successful completion of the quiz, your certificate will be available in the My Certificates tab
