Pain is multifaceted; understanding its origin is key to effective treatment. This course explores the clinical presentation and differentiation of common pain syndromes, including sclerotogenous, myofascial, visceral, and neuropathic pain.

Through a review of foundational literature by Bogduk, Lord, and Kuslich, chiropractors will gain deeper insight into the mechanisms, referral patterns, and distinguishing features of each pain type. This knowledge will empower practitioners to refine their diagnostic skills and tailor treatment strategies based on pain origin and tissue involvement.

What you’ll gain:

A clear framework for identifying and differentiating types of pain

Understanding of sclerotogenous, myofascial, visceral, and neuropathic pain presentations

Insight from key pain research to support evidence-informed care

Tools to improve diagnostic accuracy and clinical outcomes
