Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) is known to cause multi-organ dysfunction
during acute infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-
CoV-2) with some patients experiencing prolonged symptoms, termed post-acute
sequelae of SARS-CoV-2. These patients, almost 20% of those having had COVID
suffer with inflammation affecting the nervous system, respiratory system,
digestive system, cardiovascular system and reproductive systems. The
management of these patients will make up a large percentage of patients
seeking treatment from a variety of different health care providers.
Hour 1 Introduction and review of COVID-19 pathophysiology

Objectives
Understand how SARS-CoV-2 impacts the various systems of the body
Review the basics of “long COVID”
Provide practitioner with practical tools in the management of these patients
