Arthritis is not a one-size-fits-all diagnosis; understanding the distinctions between degenerative and inflammatory arthritides is essential for accurate assessment and effective care. This two-hour course provides chiropractors with a comprehensive review of the most common arthritis types encountered in practice, helping you better recognize patterns, guide referrals, and tailor treatment plans.Hour 1 focuses on degenerative arthritides, with in-depth discussion of osteoarthritis, DISH (Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis), neurotrophic joints, and synoviochondrometaplasia.
Hour 2 transitions to inflammatory arthritides, comparing conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile RA, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and Reiter’s syndrome. As time allows, gout and pseudogout will also be covered.
