Description
Long COVID (also called post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection, or PASC) refers to a range of symptoms that continue for weeks or months after the acute phase of COVID-19 infection has been resolved. While most people recover from COVID-19 within a few weeks, some continue to experience symptoms long after the virus is no longer detectable in the body. Common Symptoms of Long COVID:
1. Fatigue – Extreme tiredness that doesn’t improve with rest.
2. Shortness of breath – Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, even with minimal activity.
3. Cognitive issues – Sometimes referred to as "brain fog," including memory issues, difficulty concentrating, or confusion.
4. Chest pain – Persistent discomfort or pain in the chest.
5. Joint and muscle pain – Ongoing pain or stiffness in muscles and joints.
6. Sleep disturbances – Insomnia or interrupted sleep patterns.
7. Heart issues – Palpitations, arrhythmias, or increased heart rate.
8. Digestive issues – Diarrhea, stomach pain, or loss of appetite.
9. Anxiety and depression – Psychological effects, possibly exacerbated by ongoing health issues.
10. Headaches and dizziness – Persistent headaches, lightheadedness, or balance issues.
