The differences between the pars thoracis and pars lumborum muscles and their role in spinal stabilization.   HOUR 2                              Mechanical loading and causes of low back injury. The delicate U-shaped balance of proper spinal loading. Compression vs Shear loading and their spinal tolerances. Thoracic and lumbar spinal loads in postural changes. Spinal loading in pushing and pulling exercises. Functional anatomy and physiology of the spine. Assessment of spinal musculature and spinal ligaments. The five causes of low back pain.
