AN INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES - Credit Hours: 2 Approval Valid Until N/AClinicalRisk Management

This 2-hour course is designed to provide doctors with basic information regarding the transmission of Hepatitis B and HIV. In addition, the course will provide the chiropractor with vital information regarding procedures to prevent the transmission of these diseases.

CHIROPRACTIC ETHICS - Credit Hours: 2 Approval Valid Until N/AClinicalRisk Management

This course will discuss personal, business, and professional ethics as they relate to chiropractic. We will review the ACA and ICA Code of Ethics. The course will also discuss, in detail the Informed Consent Doctrine and the difference between an independent contractor and an employee.

CONDITIONS OF THE DISC PART 1 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

This course will begin with a detailed discussion on the functional anatomy of the disc. This will include disc innervation, disc nutrition and structural composition. The course will continue with a discussion on the basic interpretation of MRI.

CONDITIONS OF THE DISC PART 2 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

This course will begin with a short review of the basic aspects of MRI. The discussion will then continue with a detailed analysis of disc herniations and normal disc aging.

CONDITIONS OF THE DISC PART 3 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

This is the last installment of a three part series. It will include a review of normal disc aging, a discussion on the differences between normal disc aging and degenerative disc disease, internal disc disruptions, and nerve in growth.

FUNCTION BASED CARE PART 1 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

This course is designed to instruct physicians on the basic principles of function based care. It will include a discussion on how to demonstrate medical necessity for function based care, how to perform physical capacity tests, and how to prescribe specific exercises related to the patient's ability to perform those tests.

FUNCTION BASED CARE PART 2 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

Part 2 of Function Based Care picks up with Neuromuscular Re-education. In this course we will discuss the theory of this treatment as well as how to demonstrate medical necessity for these exercises. This course will also discuss stretching exercises and postural correction exercises.

PASSIVE CARE MODALITIES PART 1 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

Passive Care Modalities Part 1 will provide you with detailed instruction on symptom based care. This will include a discussion regarding thermal therapies and electric stimulation and TENS unit integration as an effective pain management tool.

PASSIVE CARE MODALITIES PART 2 - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

Passive Care Modalities Part 2 will provide you with detailed instruction on Ultrasound, Trigger Point Therapy and Spinal Traction.

RADICULOPATHY: PATIENT ASSESSMENT - Credit Hours: 1 Approval Valid Until N/AClinical

This course is designed to provide you with the necessary tools to effectively evaluate radiculopathies. It will include a discussion on neuropathic pain syndromes, orthopedic evaluation, neurological work up and MRI.
